We are also a FAA Part 145 Repair Station with ratings for the G-IV and Falcon 50, and located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the Executive Airport (KFXE).

    Job Description:

    Presidential Aviation is recruiting a professional, experienced, and motivated full-time Staff Accountant to join our team based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida (KFXE).

    Essential Functions:

    • Experience in creating and analyzing financial reports
    • Deep understanding of balance sheet and profit & loss statements
    • Process trip expenses and client invoices for all trips
    • Aircraft Account management
    • Ability to effectively communicate with aircraft owners with professionalism and proper grammar
    • Create journal entries and assist with month end close
    • Manage and reconcile credit cards
    • Ability to manage time to meet deadlines
    • Process Owner Statements and assist Charter Department with customer service
    • Maintain a wide variety of financial information, files, and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines
    • Assist Controller and Assistant Controller with various project
    • Participates in meetings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions

    Job Specifications:

    SKILLS are required to perform single, technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications; performing accounting procedures; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.

    KNOWLEDGE is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: accounting/bookkeeping principles and budget processing.

    ABILITY Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; analyze data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a wide diversity of individuals; work with a variety of data; and utilize job-related equipment. Problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans. Maintaining effective working relationships; maintaining confidentiality; setting priorities; meeting deadlines and schedules; working with detailed information; and adapting to changing priorities.

    Responsibility:

    Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating with others. Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential. Utilization of resources is often required to perform the job's functions

    Working Environment:

    The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.

    Experience: Five year's accounting experience; Quickbooks experience strongly preferred

    Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
