- Drive a standardized and harmonized approach to Regulatory Compliance for Intellian.
- Establish a cohesive Compliance Strategy for the development, testing, and certification of Intellian products; working with engineering development teams, including the product/program managers
- Determine and interpret the relevant regulatory standards for Intellian devices.
- Participate in mechanical and electrical design reviews to ensure EMC/EMI and RF (Ku/Wi-Fi/BT) mitigations are properly implemented in the designs.
- Actively educate the development teams on regulatory requirements and impact of key engineering decisions on compliance; help guide compliant design development and verify compliance through test debug and validation activities.
- Work with internal labs to pre-test and validate Intellian products from a hardware and test software development perspective
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar technical discipline.
- 7+ years of experience with electronics design, safety, risk and failure analysis
- RF Compliance background (Ku/WLAN/BT) wireless technologies with compliance testing, data interpretation experience.
- Experience in submissions for official licensing and certification through relevant compliance bodies such as US/FCC, Canada/ISED, EU/NB, and Japan/TELEC.
- Experience in documenting regulatory requirements extracted from Industry, Safety, EMC and Wireless standards.
- Experience with SharePoint, Confluence, and Jira.
- Master Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Multiple generations of FCC/CE/TELEC/ISED product regulatory approvals and license submissions
- Proven track record of role modeling a collaborative teamwork environment
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with people in a variety of disciplines though all levels of an organization.
- Familiar with satellite communication theory
- Satellite over-the-air Communication field-trial (Alpha and Beta) experience

We are looking for a
Senior Product Compliance Engineer (10+ years of experience)
with experience in satcom User Terminal (UT).
As a Senior Product Compliance Engineer you will be an integral part of the product development team and influence an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design Intellian products.
Oversee and ensure Intellian products are designed, tested, and certified to comply with worldwide regulatory requirements.You must be a technical leader and subject matter expert with a deep working knowledge of RF / EMC compliance, enterprise/consumer electronics, wireless devices, and satcom technology.
You will have a strong understanding of regulatory compliance strategy and the processes required to determine relevant compliance requirements to test, certify, and enable market access for Intellian products.
The Senior Product Compliance Engineer will also work with engineering, operations, legal, licensing legal, and sustaining to ensure Intellian products stay in compliance throughout their product lifetimes.
This is an onsite position in Rockville, MD
