- Establish and implement an intake process for new project requests using a trackable system.
- Collaborate with department managers and stakeholders to prioritize project requests.
- Develop a comprehensive planning process to organize workflow, including detailed planning for each project phase: design, spec document generation, material ordering, and internal or external build.
- Manage project execution by assigning tasks, tracking progress, communicating updates, and reporting to management.
- Lead the organization and management of systems for part and project tracking.
- Coordinate project timelines and outsourcing of parts and services as needed.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance work quality and efficiency.
- Manage deadlines with suppliers and internal teams, leveraging your understanding of production, prototyping, and fabrication processes.
- Oversee vendor onboarding and purchase order creation.
- Report project status to leadership.
- Hardware development project management experience within the last 5 years, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in understanding development, prototyping, and fabrication processes, including schedule, cost, and quality tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, open mindset, and eagerness to learn.
- 8-10 years of experience, with at least a bachelor's degree and strong presentation skills.
- Experience with vendor onboarding and purchase order creation.
- Proficiency in task management systems.
- Budget planning experience.
- PMI or PMP certification.
