    *Referral Coordinator | Full-Time | Los Angeles, CA**About the Referral Coordinator Role:

    ProHealth Staffing is seeking a Referral Coordinator who is passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of patients in the immediate underserved communities while advancing your career in the heart of Los Angeles.

    This dynamic healthcare organization is on a mission to provide exceptional, culturally sensitive care, and are in search of a passionate, diligent Referral Coordinator to bolster patient services across our thriving facilities.

    *Job Overview for the Referral Coordinator: * *Location: *Central Los Angeles, CA
    * *Schedule: *Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8AM - 5PM

    * *Pay Rate: *$19/hr.

    * *Benefits (upon reaching eligibility):

    *Responsibilities for our Referral Coordinator:
    • Processes New Referral requests for authorization utilizing e-referral application(s) and tracking in electronic health record (EHR)
    • Manages referral life cycle from open to close
    • Review referrals for completeness and follow up for additional information if necessary
    • Follows-up on results, denials, and deferred referrals proceeding a new referral request, which may include communication with the patient, specialist, IPA, or external agencies involved with the patient care to identify the status of referral and document progress in patients record
    • Managing the referral life cycle in person, over the phone, email, and EMR
    • Assist patients with questions and status of referral authorization
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor
    *Qualifications for our Referral Coordinator:
    • High School diploma required
    • 2 years of healthcare professional experience preferred
    • Experience with Electronic Medical Records Systems
    • Typing speed of at least 35 WPM
    • Familiarity with office equipment and platforms such as Computer, Scanner, Fax, Email, eFax, Telephone, and various electronic communication and upload platforms
    • Bilingual skills in English/Spanish
    • Flexibility in working hours
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, including heavy telephone duty
    • Must provide proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations including recommended doses in the primary series AND booster dose when eligible
