    Job Purpose

    The EDI Analyst is responsible for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and processing at Graco.

    The EDI Analyst's role is to develop, coordinate, implement, and communicate the organization's initiatives for EDI systems that exist in the context of an Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) ERP system.

    The EDI Analyst will act as a liaison between business users, the Oracle EBS technical team, and trading partners to deliver cost-effective, high-quality electronic exchange of information.

    Essential Duties


    Coordinate with business application and database administration functions to ensure availability and reliability of EDI systems to meet business demands.

    Perform system configuration, mapping, and management for EDI-based transactions and processes.
    Develop, enhance, and maintain EDI maps for both inbound and outbound transactions.
    Work closely with trading partners to plan, execute, and implement data exchanges to benefit both parties.
    Troubleshoot and resolve EDI issues.
    Develop and maintain project and system documentation per standard.
    Perform typical business analyst duties such as requirements gathering, solution design, development, and testing to meet EDI business needs.
    Monitor new technologies, techniques, and tools in the EDI space to continue to enhance EDI systems.
    Assist with the development of test plans and execution of those plans in conjunction with internal and external personnel.
    Develop and conduct end-user training for EDI systems.

    Drive the adoption of standard work processes, standard application functionality, and data standards, as well as alignment with global corporate policies and IS methodology.

    Acquire and improve skills in EDI and Oracle applications through education and professional organizations.
    Promote teamwork and volunteer to serve on ad hoc task groups from time to time
    Consult with IS staff on business and technical issues.
    Provide guidance and mentorship for employees in the role of EDI Analyst I.

    Position Requirements


    Essential:
    University degree in Business, MIS, or related field (or equivalent).
    3 years or more EDI work experience.
    Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining EDI systems.
    Knowledge of EDI standard formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, etc.) and EDI translators.
    Demonstrable experience using data translation technologies (e.g. Gentran).
    Highly motivated self-starter.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Schedule/deadline oriented.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with end-users and co-workers.

    Desirable:
    EDI experience in an Oracle E-Business Suite environment.
    SQL knowledge.
    Oracle API/interface knowledge.
