    Manufacturing Operations Manager Job Description

    Responsibilities:
    Plan and organize daily activities related to production and operations.
    Manage the development and execution of manufacturing plans including production configuration, build schedules, material requirements, and resource planning.
    Analyze production labor requirements, implementing appropriate capacity decisions within budget.
    Support development and use of standard operating procedures, tools, and metrics to enable successful operations.
    Measure productivity by creating and tracking metrics, analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.

    Provide effective leadership for manufacturing operations in the plant which includes responsibilities in EHS, production goals, machine and material efficiency, cost out and quality in conjunction with business goals and objectives.

    Develop strategic plans and objectives in accordance with overall company strategy.
    Drive continuous improvement initiatives ensuring internal controls and compliance.

    Implement and lead the Lean Culture within the plant to maximize employee contributions and drive improvements in product quality and process efficiency with continuous yield improvements.

    Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement investments in technology, equipment or systems that will enhance the plant's production capabilities to optimize production, improve efficiency and reduce conversion cost.

    Create operating rhythm and drive communication and recognition at all levels in the plant to be consistent with the business strategy.

    Direct, often in innovative ways, the resolution of highly complex or unusual business issues that may cross functional or department lines.

    Anticipate and communicate actionable business data to ensure continuous process improvements and waste reduction with measurable financial results.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
    • Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.
    • Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
    Knowledge & Skills

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business or related field preferred.
    A minimum of 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
    8+ years of supervisory experience
    Planning, forecasting and budgeting experience.
    Hands-on experience of day-to-day management of complex and inter-related manufacturing operations
    Green belt or Lean Master training certification is strongly desired
