Description

We are a growing law firm that is looking for a self-motivated paralegal with experience in personal injury litigation to join our team. You will play a major role in managing our cases and coordinating between our team of five attorneys to ensure the smooth running of the office and efficient progression of our cases. Under the supervision of our attorneys, you will be asked to take on a wide variety of paralegal tasks as well as to help innovate and grow your position.

Qualifications

Bachelor's
N.C. Paralegal Certification (preferred)
Notary Public (Preferred)
Qualified candidates must have 2 + years experience as a civil litigation paralegal

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to attorneys and assist in managing case flow
Communicate and with clients to prepare discovery responses
Conduct witness interviews and investigations
Draft demand packages and litigation filings under attorney supervision
Obtain medical records, lien information, and develop medical chronologies

Skills

Experience with case management software and ability to adapt to new systems or processes
Experience working on personal injury litigation as a paralegal or legal assistant
Familiarity with North Carolina law, legal procedures, local court rules, and the court system
Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
Computer literacy, particularly in Word, Adobe, and Excel
Excellent organizational skills and self-motivation
Ability to manage multiple activities and work under pressure and time constraints
