Role: Bilingual Litigation Paralegal

Location: Raleigh, NC

Type: Contract to Hire

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our team in a contract-to-hire role. This is a demanding and rewarding opportunity for a skilled individual to play a vital role in supporting our attorneys in all phases of civil litigation matters. Fluency in Spanish is mandatory as you will be responsible for handling Spanish-speaking clients and witnesses. With at least 8 years of relevant experience, you possess strong research and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda on various issues related to assigned cases.
Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including witness interviews, document organization, and evidence management.
Manage case files and documents, ensuring accurate and efficient organization.
Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
Assist with legal calendaring and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Perform other tasks as assigned by attorneys and legal team members.

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree or Paralegal certificate preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal with a focus on civil litigation.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
