Buzz Oates Construction is seeking a highly talented Safety, Health & Environment Training Manager based out of Sacramento, CA.

BOC has a 75 history of building quality projects utilizing the latest building standards in a safe an efficient manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of this position include, but may not limited to the following:
Provides leadership and support to Operations to help the organization achieve SH&E goals and objectives.
Assists the business to meet regulatory requirements relating to specific SH&E obligations.
Conduct safety training sessions at various locations for both office and field personnel.

Conduct weekly job site safety inspections and work with our field personnel to verify our projects are being run in a safe and efficient manner.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations pertaining to environmental, issues and handles all contact with appropriate agencies.
Ensure all facilities are in compliance with, EPA or other requirements and that facility programs are developed and implemented.
Conduct audits and recommends corrective action where hazard conditions exist.
Respond to emergencies and investigates to provide cause analysis and recommends corrective action.
Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment to determine appropriate action.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all SH&E related issues.
May have 24/7 responsibility to respond to emergency situations.
Other duties may be assigned at the sole discretion of the employer
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree + 5 years of relevant experience or AA/AS (US) + 10 years of relevant experience or High School / GED + 12 years of relevant experience.

OSHA 500 certification required.
Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record. Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle is a must.
Preferred

Qualifications:
OSHA 30 certification
Familiar with requirements of and experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance
Computer/Software proficiency with Microsoft Office proficiency required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Proficient in English in both written and oral communication
Proficient in Spanish in both written and oral communication is a plus
CHST or CSP Certification Knowledge of CAL-OSHA and federal OSHA regulations
Satisfactory safety record as Safety Representative
