    Position Overview:

    As an ICC Mechanical Special Inspector at 20/20 Inspections, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with mechanical, plumbing, and fuel gas codes. Your expertise will be utilized to inspect and validate a diverse range of systems, from technically intricate engineered commercial systems to heating and cooling installations.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct skilled mechanical, plumbing, and fuel gas code inspections to guarantee adherence to approved project drawings, codes, standards, and specifications.
    • Inspect and verify testing of various systems, including heating and cooling, ducts and piping, fuel gas piping, refrigeration, building ventilation, exhaust systems, and more.
    • Interpret and apply code requirements to ensure the seamless operation of commercial building systems.
    • Read and interpret on-site approved plans, specifications, and installation instructions.
    • Verify equipment sizing, installation, and testing in compliance with code requirements.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture.
    • 2+ years of related work experience as a special inspector.
    • ICC Commercial Inspector Certification OR P.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
    • OSHA-10 safety training certification.
    • Thorough knowledge of NYC Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fuel Gas Codes.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Eligibility to work in the United States.
