- Working knowledge of scope of practice, current trends, and standards of care, and regulatory/accrediting requirements relevant for the department/unit.
- Knowledge of and skill in using instrumentation/ equipment for patient care utilized in the unit/department including but not limited to IV pumps, PCA pumps, and monitors or defibrillators.
- Serves/acts as a resource based on current standards of nursing care, including auditing of patient medical records for documentation and risk management issues.
- Provides leadership and accountability for the daily clinical operations of the department/unit in the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of safe, quality, timely, compassionate, and cost-effective direct and indirect care delivered to the department/unit's patient populations.
- Collaborates with the Department Director to assess and address staff competency deficiencies.
- Supports the mission, values, and vision of the organization.
- Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required or must be currently enrolled with expected graduation within 2 years. Master's degree in nursing , Business, or Healthcare Administration a plus.
- Current licensure to practice professional Nursing in the State of Ohio (RN).
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider
- CPR (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in Acute Care department.

Hours: 6:45 AM - 4:15 PM
