We are currently hiring for a Head of HR Services & Compensation at a globally leading retail company based in Hamburg, PA.

This role offers a hybrid remote work option and a travel or relocation package.


As the Head of HR Services & Compensation, you will lead and manage the Compensation & Benefits, Payroll, and HR Services teams, and be responsible for the strategic development and transformation of the department.

You will design innovative working conditions in terms of compensation, benefits, and work environment, while also strengthening the employee experience through excellent people services.


To be successful in this role, you should have extensive professional and leadership experience in the areas of People Service/ HR Admin/ Payroll and/or Compensation & Benefits.

In this role, you will lead a team of 6 direct reports and approximately 15 employees as a manager, sparring partner, and coach.

You will be part of an HR team of around 80 colleagues worldwide.


In addition to the operational management of all HR administrative processes (Payroll & People Services), your team will develop competitive compensation and social benefit initiatives to attract and retain top talent.


You will closely coordinate with works councils on all labor law-related issues, continuously improve all HR standard processes including payroll, and monitor key HR metrics to derive action areas and management reports for the management board.

Experience with SAP HCM is helpful but not mandatory for this role.
