Job Summary:
The
Senior Accounting Specialist
is responsible for supporting customer billing and the service order system.
Create customer invoices per customer contractscreate / review customer invoicesreview service order structures to support accurate invoicing and revenue recognitionmaintain schedules for required billing points to ensure invoice contract terms are metsupport other accounts receivable functions as requiredProvide General Ledger accounting analysis / reconciliation as requiredproduce month-end closing schedules / reconciliationscreate journal entries to support activity for the G/Lcoordinate service order analysis for managementSupport mid-year and year-end review/audit requirementsSupport management requests for ad hoc analysisSupport overall service order system for accountingSupport customer settlement processSupport non-aircraft workflow as requiredSupport monthly revenue recognition and analysis as requestedAssist in receivables collection process as assignedPerform other duties as assigned by the ControllerSecondary Duties:

Accountabilities:
Accountable to the ControllerJob Qualifications:
Minimum:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two (2) years general Accounting or related experience (or one-year Service Order planning/administration experience)Proficient with Excel, Mainframe system and 10 key data input.
Must have working knowledge of accounting documentation controls.Individual should be a self-starter requiring minimum supervision.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Preferred
:
Bachelor of Arts/Science in Accounting/Finance.
Four (4) years general ledger accounting experience.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 15 pounds, climb stairs, bend, and stoop as necessary.
Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
Normal office environment where approximately 70% of work is performed in a sitting position.
