    We are seeking a Configuration Management Engineer to join our team in Huntington Beach, California and support the Electro-Optical (EO) / Infra-Red (IR) Mission Systems team within BR&T.

    Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate or Mid-Level Engineers.


    This position will be coordinating budgets, staff headcount planning and forecasting, ensuring business unit alignment, overseeing procurement processes, handling administrative tasks, and assisting with various other tasks as directed.

    The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, adept at multitasking, and possess strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

    This position is part of the rapidly growing EO/IR Mission Systems team within BR&T.

    The EO/IR Mission Systems team has more than quadrupled in size over the past 2 years due to new contract wins and continues to see increased demand from Boeing's customers.

    We're designing, building, and testing cutting edge sensor systems for airborne and space platforms.

    Our focus is always on the mission – connecting people through safer air travel and protection of the warfighter from its adversaries.

    This isn't your typical Boeing team – we are focused on the entire lifecycle of design:
    from modeling and simulation of new ideas, through prototype demonstrations, and eventually transitioning to production systems.


    Position Responsibilities:
    Assess prime contract and supplier contract configuration management requirements

    Write configuration management plans

    Establish and apply methodology for product and document identification

    Prepare change control documents such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Requests for Variance (RFV), Change Documents/Change Requests (CD/CRs), Conduct program Change Control Boards (CCB), perform configuration audits, coordinate product configuration definition documentation, and others

    Collaborate with fellow configuration management engineers on configuration management principles and job practices, and support of industry quality audits for Configuration Management

    Provide configuration management guidance to program team members

    Access product definition data and generate corresponding deliverables

    Collaborate with customers

    Engage in program planning

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

    This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.


    Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
    Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

    2+ years' engineering experience

    2+ years' experience with Configuration Management/Data Management


    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
    5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    Experience working in an independent environment with assigned tasks and drive to completion through formal channels and informal networks

    Experience using Microsoft Office tools

    Interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to perform effectively in a team environment

    High attention to detail, self-starter and results driven


    Typical Education/Experience:

    Associate (Level 2):
    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

    Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

    Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.


    Mid-Level (Level 3):
    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

    Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

    PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

    Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

    Summary pay range for Associate level: $79,050 – $106,950

    Summary pay range for Mid-Level level: $96,050 - $129,950
