    Job Title Patient Care Coordinator Department Office of the Dean, College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences Pay Grade 8 Job Category Support Staff Job Summary
    The Nave Center is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team.


    In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between patients, their families, and the medical team, ensuring a seamless and patient-centered healthcare experience.

    This position requires knowledge of medical office operations, knowledge of HIPAA privacy, and security, and the ability to communicate effectively and solve problems.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to align tasks and responsibilities with appropriate team members.
    Knowledge of insurance and medical billing.
    Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security.
    Knowledge of third-party payer rules and regulations.
    Efficient with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.
    Ability to solve problems.
    Ability to utilize an electronic health record system for accomplishing daily tasks.
    Ability to communicate effectively with patients, supervisors, community agencies, and medical providers both orally and in writing.
    Ability to effectively communicate patient needs to providers.
    Ability to handle all patient information responsibly.
    Ability to adhere to and apply all university, college, department, and clinic policies and procedures.
    Ability to work as a team member.
    Ability to apply time management principles to accomplish assigned duties.
    Required Qualifications A high diploma or equivalent.
    One (1) to two (2) years of medical office experience.
    Preferred Qualifications One (1) to two (2) years of experience with electronic health records systems.
