- Must demonstrate a sound knowledge of reading machine drawings. Reading drawings includes understanding dimensions, notes, callouts, surface finishes, bill of materials, and tolerances.
- Must demonstrate the ability to program and operate Okuma lathes, Mazak lathes, and Haas CNC milling machines.
- Must be able to do basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be able to design simple fixtures to complete the product.
- Set up and operate CNC Okuma lathes, Mazak lathes, and Haas milling equipment to produce production parts.
- Produce machined parts to close tolerance dimensions.
- Program Mazatrol, Fanuc, G-code Okuma, or DynaPath software.
- Work efficiently to maintain production levels by operating multiple machines within a work cell.
- Work as a team member to solve problems with machining and production.
- Demonstrate a positive work ethic by sharing knowledge and procedures with co-workers.
- Other duties as needed and assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
- Comprehends and can explain the operational steps required to complete a job so that a fellow employee may understand it. Must read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout the workday.
- Frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel material.
- Constant use of hands/fingers to grasp, pinch, pull, feel, or handle and manipulate parts and tools.
- Must constantly wear eye protection (Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required).

Position Summary: Reads and interprets blueprints to fabricate precision-machined metal parts used in manufacturing goods. Machinists will be expected to ensure that all manufactured pieces meet provided specifications and may be held responsible for maintaining the equipment. Machinist II's should be proficient at milling, lathing, EDM and /or grinding.
