Description

If you are a Machinist seeking an opportunity to advance, Emerson has an intriguing opening awaiting you in Pasadena, TX. You will play a vital role in fabricating Fisher OEM control valve parts utilizing diverse machining techniques and equipment. Additionally, you will undertake repairing parts from the field, restoring them to OEM specifications. Proficiency in manual and CNC lathe and mill operations is imperative. Safety and quality are paramount in this position.

This position entails 2nd Shift from Monday to Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Ensure personal safety and that of others while maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
Setup, indicate, and machine raw material to manufacture Fisher parts to OEM print dimensions.
Create and modify CNC programs using G-code and other programming languages.
Validate program accuracy and resolve any programming issues.
Cross-train on all machines to avoid interruptions in production flow.
Comprehend material hardness, cutting tools, and machining techniques.
Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) from part drawings.
Potential for field assignments using in-line machinery with potential travel requirements.
Strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

For This Role, You Will Need:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education is advantageous.
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar capacity.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Solid understanding of CNC programming and machining techniques.
Familiarity with a variety of CNC machines and controls.
Ability to utilize precision measuring instruments.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Mechanical-related Associates degree or over 5 years of experience in machining and fabricating.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM (MasterCam) & SolidWorks modeling is desirable.
Preference for welding knowledge.
Experience in the process control industry is advantageous.
Ability to analyze, evaluate, diagnose, and resolve equipment and process-related issues is highly preferred.
