- Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
- Direct knowledge and implementation of NFPA 855 standards related to Energy Storage System.
- Able to instruct Lithium- ion emergency response training to local firefighters.
- Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
- Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- Develops, Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health program procedures for all areas of the organization.
- Provides guidance on health and safety and confirm site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
- Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
- Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards.
- Extensive knowledge of Lithium-Ion regulations and policies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Dynamics.
- Bachelor's degree- In Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Master's degree desirable.
