Description

At EBCO General Contractor, LTD. our Site Safety Managers monitor the implementation of health, safety and environmental activities in accordance with established laws, objectives and within company plans and policies on a jobsite or group of jobsites. This person is responsible for fostering the promotion of safety and environmental practices, maintaining contact with safety organizations, and keeping current on health and safety policies.
As a safety manager, you would be responsible for the following:

• Adhering to the EBCO's Policies and Procedures
• Conducting continual site audits and accident injury investigations
• Acting as a liaison with local industry, government and safety associations
• Implementing any changes and communicates the changes to staff
• Ensuring staff are properly informed and trained
• Providing the safety orientation of all new employees
• Reviewing any inspection and accident reports from the field
• Taking action to identify safety hazards and correct them
• Maintaining proper documentation for review by the Safety Director and Management Team
• Has at least 5 years of Safety experience in a construction environment
• Experience on projects valuing approximately $20M.
• Has a high school diploma, at a minimum
• Has a thorough knowledge of both Federal and State safety regulations
• Has a strong understanding of building concepts, codes, laws and best practices.
• Is great at communicating through a variety of mediums
• Has strong organizational skills
• Is detailoriented.
• Is proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word
• Is capable of providing upfront and timely guidance and direction
• Able to work unaided on an active jobsite
• Can perform with mínimal supervision
