    Role:

    This role is responsible for developing and managing the HomeX Lending Program as part of the Business Development department by identifying current and future direct and indirect customer needs, market conditions, and competitor data. The role is accountable to apply that knowledge to develop, implement, and execute sales and marketing plans that align with the credit union's objectives. The role is to develop and implement a market approach to maximize product profitability, appeal, and usage by continuously improving customer value (product), recommending cost (price), convenience of use (place), and communication (promotion). This requires the employee to monitor trends in the market in order to design and install systems of work to anticipate future market needs through pilot programs in conjunction with the production department.

    The job incumbent is responsible for complying with all policies, procedures, and processes involving the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) which relate to their specific position, duties, and responsibilities. Specific BSA components will include the Customer Identification Program (CIP), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), and a working knowledge of job specific "Red Flags" to identify potential suspicious activity. It is mandated that each employee receive on-going BSA training on an annual basis.

    What you will be doing:

    This position is accountable to build and continuously develop and refine processes to deliver work with increasing quality and pace while reducing waste, redundancy, and variance. This requires the systematic and purposeful search for opportunities to add value to all sources. This process requires the incumbent to:

    • Creates an of effective sales team capable of interacting in markets and understanding trends in the home improvement and eco-sustainable finance industry in order to effectively present products to current and potential dealers.
    • Determines appropriate funding and active source ratios, sales cost per loan (actual and benchmarks), and mix of internal/external sales needs for introduction to the market.
    • Builds productive and effective relationships with dealers that promote the value proposition of our products to which business partners chose to do business with us rather than our competition.
    • Assesses current benchmarks and reporting systems for sales staff and make recommendations for changes to increase departmental efficiencies.
    • Creates plan to introduce the HomeX Lending division as a home improvement and eco-sustainable lender into new markets. This will be done in collaboration with the Director of HomeX Lending Operations to ensure the anticipated production level increases can be sustained by the production staff.
    • Explores new channels for growth within our targeted customer offering and for potential new programs and markets.
    • Creates detailed plans to communicate to stakeholders upcoming product and service enhancements and expected results.
    • Continuously monitors technology for fit with future requirements of HomeX.

    Managerial

    • Builds and sustains structure that ensures morale, productivity, and fulfillment.
    • Leads marketing and sales team in creating and maintaining key relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Assigns and measures work, evaluate performance of staff.
    • Ensures the creation and communication of policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance to established company guidelines and all regulatory and legal requirements.
    • Provides up to date information on product pricing, options, and availability to all necessary stakeholders.
    • Meets production budget annually.
    • Ensures HomeX Business Development staff maintain in depth knowledge of all programs and products offered and industry competitors.
    • Maintains real time comparison and analysis of pricing and products offered by all competitors.
    • Establishes authority levels for direct reports.
    • Setss performance standards, gives clear direction, delegates, and schedules work.
    • Responsible for managing direct reports in working in collaboration with production staff in the development, maintenance, and improvement of business relationships.

    What you'll bring along:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, preferred
    • 5-8 Years of experience or similar experience.
    • 3 years progressively increasing managerial experience in lending sales.
    • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
