    Description

    Job Summary:

    The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
    • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
    • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
    • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Prepare and post journal entries.
    • Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
    • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
    • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
    • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
    • Assist with special projects and financial analysis as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • CPA or other relevant certification is a plus.
