    Are you an accounting professional with a knack for precision and a keen eye for detail? Do you have a passion for crunching numbers and an interest in the construction industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you We are currently seeking a Permanent Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team.

    This is a unique opportunity to combine your accounting skills with the fast-paced and ever-evolving world of construction. You will play a crucial role in our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our accounting processes.


    Responsibilities:
    As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:


    • Entering invoices into our accounting software for routing and approval by Project Managers.
    • Ensuring invoices are accurately posted in Sage 100 Contractor.
    • Scanning and filing invoices and supporting documents.
    • Procuring lien releases, certified payroll reports, insurance, and other required documents from vendors as needed.
    • Collaborating with our controller to process check runs.
    • Reviewing weekly timesheets to verify completeness, including signatures, time entered, etc.
    • Contacting foremen and/or project managers for missing timecards.
    • Transferring timecards from HCSS field software into Sage 100 Contractor.
    • Making necessary adjustments for per diem allowance, employee deductions, etc.
    • Processing weekly payroll, which includes both live checks and ACH.
    • Entering new employees into Sage with proper union deductions, pay rates, etc.
    • Adjusting employee wages, deductions, allowances as directed.
    • Remitting payroll taxes and verifying general ledger account balances.

    Qualifications:
    We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:


    • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
    • Proficiency in using Sage 100 Contractor and HCSS field software.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
