Job DescriptionGreat opportunity for a Accounts Payable position in the Santa Fe Springs area.

Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Santa Fe Springs
Pay Rate: Up to $24 per hour (Could stretch to $25 per hour)
Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent
On-site Position

Job Description:

Post business transactions, process invoices, and verify financial data to maintain accurate accounts payable records.
Provide clerical support necessary to fulfill the organization's financial obligations.
Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables to ensure accuracy in financial documents.
Ensure the accuracy of financial documents for payment, auditing, and tax purposes.
Protect the organization against unintentional overpayment through diligent monitoring.
Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices, or receiving signatures.
Assemble and review invoices for completion before payment.
Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices, or correspondence for record-keeping purposes.
Type periodic reports and maintain other necessary records.
Obtain proper information and data regarding invoice payments.
Check vendor files for previous payments and assign voucher numbers accordingly.
Prepare vouchers listing invoice details, including number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts, and coding per accounting policies.
Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy.
Input daily bookkeeping and record-keeping entries.
Work closely with the Accounting Department and Upper Management to code invoices and facilitate payments.

Ability to enter and process invoices from various locations within a demanding accounting department.
Software experience with Sage is preferred but not required.
