    Position Overview: Join a leading provider of global supply chain solutions in the transportation and logistics industry. We are currently seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to expand our services, which include domestic and international air and ground transportation, ocean freight, and comprehensive logistics documentation. This position is remote, ideally suited for professionals based near Los Angeles, CA, to facilitate coordination with local operations and occasional in-person engagements.

    Job Summary: As a Business Development Manager, you will drive growth in both domestic and international markets, creating custom logistics solutions that meet our clients' diverse needs. You will maintain and grow business volumes, actively seeking new opportunities to increase revenue within your assigned territory.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategize and execute development plans to secure new business in the ocean and air freight sectors.
    • Analyze client requirements to design optimal logistics solutions, focusing on service excellence.
    • Oversee comprehensive transportation services, including warehousing and distribution.
    • Maintain and enhance existing client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and service excellence.
    • Drive revenue growth through effective marketing of our transportation and warehousing services.
    • Engage in cold calling, follow-ups, and networking to identify new business opportunities.
    • Prepare and present sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.


    Requirements

    • Proven experience in sales or business development within the transportation and logistics industry.
    • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage detailed proposals and client needs.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Robust networking skills, with a well-established industry contact base.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field, or at least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
    • Experience in freight forwarding is essential.
    • International business experience is advantageous but not required.
