    Description

We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator (Construction) on behalf of our client, a leading supplier and integrator in today's power and energy markets in Bakersfield, CA. This contract is expected to continue through the end of the year.

    The typical work week during the construction phase would be attending the EPC's (engineering, procurement, construction) POD meetings and informing them of any contractor we send to site. Coordinating with the EPC for any work that needs to be done during the time that EPC oversees the site. This person will need to fill out the daily site report for work that is completed by Company or its contractors. This person also needs to ensure any contractors that show up for remediation work are following safety protocols.

    During the commissioning phase, Company will be running the POD meetings, and we would expect the Project Coordinator to ensure all commissioning work is happening safely and play more of an administrative role on site coordination with contractor & vendors who arrive. This person will need to fill out the daily report along with the commissioning team.

    Minimal site supervision.

    Receive deliveries and maintain site services.

    Daily record of the work done on site.

    Sign in and out vendors and contractors on site.

    Monitor safety of all Company responsible vendors on site and ensure field team is following Company Safety protocol. Report safety concerns to PM team.

    Coordinate questions on issues from EPC to PM team.

    The On-site rep/Project Coordinator will have to relay any installation issues faced by the EPC back to us (PM team) so we can coordinate with the manufacturers on resolutions.

    Key Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    High expertise in dealing with ambiguity, complexity, and working within a fast-paced environment

    Ability to solve problems and adhere to business-critical deadlines

    Proficient data analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel

    Proficient communication skills; verbal, written, and presentation

    Strong leadership and team management skills

    Prior solar/energy/utility industry experience strongly preferred
