    The CWS Site Manager is responsible for the management of all the personnel, operations, memberships, health and fitness programs, and special events according to Cooper Aerobics vision, values, and strategic objectives on behalf of CWS' client's goals and objectives.


    The CWS Site Manager provides extraordinary leadership in areas of representing the Cooper brand, staff management, client relations, customer service, fitness programming, recreational activities, special events, while overseeing the operations and financial management of the assigned client facility.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:


    • Oversees daily business operations.
    • Develops and implements growth strategies.
    • Recruitment, training, and management of staff personnel.
    • Develops work schedules and assigns specific duties.
    • Creates and manages budget and optimizes expenses.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Financial / Operations / Personnel / Programming


    • Oversees all onsite facility operations and financial accountability as assigned, such as, facility operations budget, annual facility operations planning process, onsite technology system oversight, facility marketing and communications, program planning and implementation.
    • Accurately monitors supplies and expenses for each area of responsibility.
    • Ensures budget adherence and assists as needed in profit and loss statement review.
    • Work collaboratively with the CWS Fitness Accounts Director to review monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics for the site, providing key insights into metric trends and/or suggestions for improvement.
    • Work collaboratively with the CWS Fitness Accounts Director with the short-term and long-term strategic planning of the facility with respect to staffing, programming, systems, facilities, equipment, and other facility-related areas.
    • Provides exceptional customer service with a positive attitude and ensures Cooper customer service standards and expectations are met.
    • Oversees planning, management, implementation, and evaluation of Cooper Quest and CooperFit member engagement program.
    • Provides strong leadership for facility staff with a focus on training and skill development.
    • Performs daily facility walk-throughs to ensure that all areas of responsibility are clean and organized; if deficient, takes necessary actions to improve.
    • Provides monthly client invoicing information to the Fitness Accounts Director according to the established timelines for review and approval.
    • Partners with Cooper and client marketing departments to manage facility and program communication content, standards, and timelines.
    • Partners with Cooper corporate account team and other resources to leverage Cooper educational content in program design, facility promotions, and other approved campaigns.
    • Partners with Cooper and client technology departments to manage facility technology systems.
    • Provides oversight and establishes relationships with vendors and service providers.
    • Meets bi-weekly with the Fitness Accounts Director to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are measured and graded and the facility is meeting or exceeding program and budgetary goals.
    • Assumes responsibility and takes appropriate action in the event of an emergency (e.g., medical incident, fire alarm, etc.) within the facility or grounds.
    • Maintains a positive attitude and teamwork approach.
    • Attends work on a timely and consistent basis. Must be present on-site to perform the duties of this position.
    • Develops and maintains strong relationships with client liaisons and other facility vendors to represent and promote Cooper values.
    • Adheres to the Cooper Purpose and Core Values (P.R.E.F.I.C.S.).
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
    Requirements


    Education and/or Experience


    • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Professional fitness certification (ACSM, ACE, Cooper, NASM, or similar) CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
    • Ability to assess fitness levels and develop exercise prescriptions.
    • Experience working with older adults.
    • Minimum three years of experience in either corporate, commercial, or older adult fitness facility management.
    • Experience providing personal training, small group training and group exercise class instruction.
    • Experience organizing recreational sports activities throughout the year.

    Physical Demands


    • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk at the client's site.

    Work Environment

    While performing the duties of this Job, the teammate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and varying outside weather conditions.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

    The CWS Site Manager generally works during business hours and depending on the demands of the job may work some long days and/or weekends.
