    Position Overview

    We are currently seeking an Annual Giving Manager to begin July 1, 2024. The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and growing Roycemore's annual giving campaign. This role will create engaging strategies for parents, alumni and alumni parents, faculty and staff, grandparents, and friends. Reporting to the Assistant Head of School for Advancement, the Annual Giving Manager collaborates with the Advancement team to increase annual giving revenue, broaden the base of support, retain and upgrade donors through appropriate stewardship, and strengthen the major gift pipeline. This position is the lead organizer for the annual fundraising event, as well as other development-related activities. This position also provides guidance and support to the annual fund's volunteers.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Works closely with the Director of Finance and Operations to develop and position annual giving goals and priorities consistent with the School's operating needs.
    • Works collaboratively with the Advancement team to achieve aspirational goals for the annual fund and develop strong solicitation, engagement, and stewardship programs for key constituencies.
    • Builds a culture of philanthropy through strategic engagement, stewardship, and active digital strategies.
    • Develop and report data to monitor annual giving progress.
    • Improve the health of annual giving programs and strategies, identifying growth opportunities and areas of strength.
    • Builds a robust parent volunteer network to support annual fund appeals.
    • Coordinate and manage Annual Giving appeals to faculty, staff, and Board of Trustees.
    • Assists the Director of Community Engagement in leading and directing the Roycemore Family Association and Roycemore Alumni Association.
    • Develops the Annual Report.
    • Ensures that the Roycemore brand and overall marketing and communications strategy is used consistently and effectively in fostering a culture of philanthropy.
    • Learns best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies by staying connected to resources through LMAIS, ISACS, NAIS, and other relevant organizations.
    • Cultivate a professional network of colleagues at other institutions to serve as a resource for new ideas.
    • Attends events and schoolwide functions as needed to connect with the community.
    • Embraces the mission and vision of Roycemore School.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree is required.
    • At least three years of progressive experience in non-profit or educational fundraising, preferably in an annual giving position.
    • Solution-oriented mindset with a positive attitude, proactive approach, customer-service mindset, and ability to motivate.
    • Willingness to complete detail-oriented tasks as well as think strategically and creatively.
    • Strong storytelling and communication skills (written, oral, and presentation) to effectively communicate the School's vision and case for support.
    • A results-oriented self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively in a fluid environment.
    • Well-developed strategic, critical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, confidentiality, and judgment.
    • Interest and competence to interact with a diversity of accomplished individuals.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities and competing demands, and adapt to frequent and unexpected changes.
    • High degree of competency with digital tools, databases, and fundraising tools.
    • Active engagement in professional development and current on best practices.
    • Passion for the organization's mission and dedication to advancing its goals.
    • Enthusiasm for working in a school environment with students.
