    **Description**

    **Responsibilities**

    Solicit bid proposals, create purchase orders from non-stock purchase requisitions, order materials, supplies, or equipment, and ensure timely delivery of the proper quantity of materials to support production.

    Maintain accurate delivery dates in the ERP system, evaluate purchase messages, and communicate changes in a timely fashion.

    Update and maintain material data (by vendor) to allow for the best MRP planning possible.

    Review and maintain current supplier list including payment terms / key contacts and lead times.

    Analyze existing sources of supply and identify opportunities for improved pricing or delivery.

    Partner with plant operations team to ensure that materials are available to support production needs.

    Build and maintain good relationships with internal customers.

    Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    **Knowledge & Skills**

    General understanding of Supply Chain Management best practices and the regulatory environmentand the impact that decisions make on internal and external customers.

    Able to negotiate prices, terms, etc.

    Able to acquire detailed knowledge of specific customers, suppliers, products, product lines and shipping requirements and maintain and update that information in the ERP system.

    Able to work collaboratively with other employees and departments to support time sensitive customer requirements.

    Able to recognize, analyze, and offer solutions to problems or involve the necessary people to ensure the problem is properly resolved.

    Able to adjust priorities on short notice in order to meet time sensitive requirements.

    Able to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing.

    Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is preferred.

    **Experience**

    3 or more years of experience in a Supply Chain or Purchasing role

    Must have previous experience utilizing an ERP system in a Supply Chain or Purchasing role.

    **Education**

    High School diploma or equivalent required

    Bachelors degree in Business Administration (Supply Chain / Purchasing concentration) preferred

    **Other Requirements**

    Physical- This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

    Travel- 0% to 5% - Minimal
