    Location: **Boise, ID**

    **Were recruiting for an MRO** **Buyer** **for our new extruded plastics building products manufacturing plant in Boise, ID.**

    The AZEK Company is an industry leading manufacturer of engineered low-maintenance residential and commercial building products headquartered in Chicago, IL.

    **POSITION SUMMARY:**

    The MRO Buyer, under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, is responsible for evaluating the product and/or parts requirements of the Company and projecting, purchasing and controlling assigned materials used at the designated facility. The Senior Buyer/Planner ensures there is a consistent flow of product and/or parts to enable uninterrupted production and efficient use of working capital.

    **POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**

    Management of purchasing/coordinating of all assigned materials for the designated business unit(s). Experience in purchasing MRO parts, Engineering Tooling, Mechanical Components, and any other items related to manufacturing operations. Includes but not limited to the following.

    Daily communication with Plant Operations and Maintenance to ensure the optimum amounts of incoming materials.

    Collaboration with cross functional areas to ensure MRO areas are maintained to the company standard.

    Identify and lead Risk Management initiatives to mitigate any supply interruptions, including Min/Max on hand requirements.

    Manages material order process, including originating purchase orders and verification of cost, amount, delivery date, in-bound logistics, expedites, push outs or cancelations.

    Approves payments to vendors for materials/goods and related services

    Supplier Relationship Management, including Supplier Identification, negotiation and issue resolution.

    Research invoice discrepancies and generate appropriate pricing guidance to accounts payables for invoice pricing.

    Assist in supplier rationalization and cost reduction initiatives within assigned areas of spend. Inventory Management and Materials Planning

    Management of inventory maintenance and planning for all assigned items.

    Frequent communication with Operations and Purchasing Management on inventory levels and projections and ongoing inventory plans.

    Optimize Inventory in order to maximize Inventory Turns and Working Capital. Work with Supply Base to implement Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs

    Develop and maintain standards within MRP.

    Develop and maintain required reports for historical usage, requirements forecasting and planning, and management reporting.

    Maintain open purchase order reporting to ensure information is accurate and current. Purchasing Processes and Policies

    Participate in the creation and implementation of new or improved procurement processes.

    Working with Cross Functional Team to implement and automate SC Processes such as MRP and Inventory Management.

    Assist with the development and presentation of Supplier Scorecards

    Ensure compliance with all SOX approved processes and procedures.

    **POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:**

    **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience

    **Experience:** Minimum 3-5 years of procurement MRP development and Inventory Management experience for manufactured products or equivalent

    **Certificates & Licenses:** ISM-CPM/CPSM certified, APICs-CPIM & CSCP desirable.

    **Computer Skills:** ERP/SAP/JDE, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, MS Office Proficiency
