- Implement and drive the project vision established in collaboration with client, upper management, project team, subcontractors, and all other project members.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism by overseeing and leading other project managers and project assistants.
- Perform quantity takeoffs from engineered plans and identify scope of work and budgeted costs.
- Review submittals for compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Ability to set up, modify and maintain projects in field management platforms.
- Review daily time sheets from field crews to ensure proper entry and execution.
- Control and track job costs to maintain profitability.
- Provide monthly job cost reports to company ownership.
- Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, client/owner representatives to isolate project issues and develop solutions to project changes/obstacles.
- Review field construction activity, engineering and other project(s) support activities with management personnel and provide support to maintain project schedule, quality, and budget.
- Frequent site visits to review construction and ensure satisfactory compliance with the plans and specifications.
- Execute and administer subcontracts.
- Execute and administer vendor purchase orders.
- Review and approve weekly vendor invoicing and subcontract payments.
- Develop monthly progress invoicing to clients/owners.
- Support safety and environmental staff to ensure compliance with company and industry regulations and requirements.
- Be involved in industry organizations to improve, connect and strengthen yourself, project team(s) and company.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in the engineering or construction industry
- Strong communication skills.
- Proven ability to create and manage a budget.
- Well organized and able to meet deadlines with accuracy.
- Proficient in technology (MS Office, AutoCAD, Vista, HCSS).
