    Description

    Position Summary:
    Lead Health, Environmental, and Safety Strategies in multi-plant operations. Develop and implement Safety & Health Plans, manage projects for improved performance outcomes, and ensure compliance with regulations. Oversee staff and program execution in areas such as Environmental, Health Services, or Workers Comp admin.

    Responsibilities:
    Supervise staff in related areas ensuring compliance activities are met. Lead efforts to build a behavior-based safety culture.
    Oversee site-specific safety and environmental training programs. Conduct necessary training sessions.
    Build and develop a highly effective team focused on Hazard Elimination, Incident Reduction, and Behavior Management.
    Partner with organizations to ensure access to preventative occupational health care.
    Collaborate with Plant Managers and other Functional Managers in strategic planning. Drive process improvement activities.
    Partner with corporate leadership and counterparts in other plants to deliver value and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
    Provide Safety leadership on the Plant Leadership Team. Manage actions directed toward injury prevention and overall safety culture improvement.
    Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental management system (EMS) standards.
    Analyze records, develop metrics, and lead activities to promote continuous environmental improvement.

    Qualifications & Skills:
    Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or Environmental Management required; Master's degree preferred.
    Minimum 5 years of Safety Management experience supporting large sites.
    Ability to develop, deploy, and improve Safety System concepts and standards.
    Strong communication skills and experience managing teams.
    Demonstrated ability to manage and influence leaders across multiple locations.
    Technical knowledge/experience of OSHA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI code regulations.
    Minimum 3 years of formal leadership experience managing direct reports.
    Experience leading behavior-based safety programs and delivering outstanding results.
