    With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction backed by our 100-year reputation and a passion for delivering high-quality services, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead our HR department.

    The Director of HR will play a pivotal role in achieving our goals by optimizing employee performance, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic HR Leadership:
    Manage Arnoff's HR team to aid in achieving all departmental goals. Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with Arnoff's mission and objectives. Collaborate with the executive team to identify HR needs and drive initiatives that support growth and efficiency.

    Performance Incentives and Employee Motivation:
    Design and implement performance-based incentive programs to reward exceptional employee performance. Develop and oversee recognition and awards programs to boost employee morale and motivation.


    Payroll:
    Oversee and ensure compliance with all payroll laws both Federal and State. Confirm payroll is completed accurately and timely. Engage with department leads to ensure payroll reporting is provided to effectively manage labor and OT expenses.

    Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS):


    Manage the relationship with our HRIS vendor and ensure we are best utilizing the system and what we are paying for.

    Find ways to reduce data entry through technology.

    How can we integrate systems throughout the company? Ensure department leads are trained in how to use the system and are getting the most out of it.


    Accountability and Compliance:
    Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for employee performance and ensure regular performance reviews. Monitor and maintain compliance with labor and employment laws, updating HR policies and procedures as needed.


    Leadership Development:
    Prioritize leadership development by providing support, mentorship, and training opportunities for potential future leaders within the organization. Create formal paths for career growth and leadership skill development.


    Organizational Learning and Efficiency:
    Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing among employees to enhance job performance. Collaborate with managers to optimize work routines and identify opportunities for increased efficiency.


    Effective Recruitment and Staffing:


    Lead efforts to position Arnoff as an employer of choice by enhancing our employer brand, competitive compensation packages, and efficient recruitment and onboarding processes.

    Control Labor Costs and

    Staff Development:
    Implement job grading and compensation analysis to ensure equitable pay structures. Develop staff by encouraging individual development plans and fostering a positive company culture.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

    Master's Degree and / or HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.


    Experience in asset-based trucking regulations such as those surrounding Hours of Service (HOS), Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules and regulations is a plus.

    Proven experience in HR leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years in HR management.

    Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations.

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

    Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into HR initiatives.

    Proficiency in HR software and systems.

    $75,000-125,000, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
