    Superform Machine Shift Leader Overview This Role is Supported by: PM

    This Role Supports:
    Shift Operators A Shift Leader is a key position in a manufacturing facility.

    This role is responsible for overseeing the production process during a specific shift, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and within quality standards.

    You must know the equipment and be technically minded. Problem solve when issues arise.

    Here some of the common responsibilities and skills are associated with this role:

    MACHINES DO NOT STOP Shift Start ChecklistArrive 30 minutes early and prepare for dayEnsure the machine area is clean organized and professionalPreheat EPS machines and start Injection machinesEnsure the machine area is as efficient as possible.

    Ensure quality parts are always made and changes are made when needed.

    Ensure operator accountabilityAttend daily morning meetingEnsure iPad accountability during shiftExpand product as per PM.Complete Water Test as per PM.Always carry radio Shift End ChecklistEnd of shift report to PM.Report all maintenance requests on FAM boardEnsure daily production goals are met.

    Ensure daily cleanup as per processSeconds cleanupAttend 8-week planner meeting when possibleAttend Daily FAM meeting The People Team Management
    • Supervising and leading a team of production workers.
    • Keep operators accountable too their roles
    • Monitor the performance of workers and provide feedback to PM for improvement.
    • Ensure that the production process complies with regulations and company policies.
    • Motivate the team to meet production goals and maintain high quality standards.
    • Hold leadership accountable to role and responsibilities
    • Cover for leadership individuals when needed.
    • Training: Training new employees Ensuring existing staff are updated on safety and production procedures.
    • Identify areas where training is needed and let GM know.
    • Train and support staff to roles and tasks as needed Create and maintain a Team environment
    • Enforcing safety guidelines and ensuring a safe working environment The Product Machinery
    • EPS Machines o Problem solves all issues and ensures the machine is back up and running ASAP o Understanding the operation of EPS manufacturing machinery and troubleshooting minor issues.
    o Understand the technical aspects of the products being manufactured. o Monitor production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

    o Learn and update knowledge when required o Update all setting as required to make quality parts o Update settings to maximize efficiency.

    o Ensure weekly and monthly maintenance is completed.
    • Injection Machines/Robots o Problem solves all issues and ensures the machine is back up and running ASAP o Understanding the operation of manufacturing machinery and troubleshooting minor issues.
    o Having a basic understanding of the technical aspects of the products being manufactured. o Monitor production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. o Learn and update knowledge when required o Ensure you are always working. o Communicate with PM when needed on injection issues. Quality Control
    • Ensuring that products meet quality standards and conducting regular quality checks.
    • Monitor production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
    Communication
    • Gather and review production sheets daily for management.
    • Coordinating with other shift leaders and departments for smooth operations.
    • Address production issues and work on solutions with cross functional teams.
    Continuous Improvement
    • Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing solutions.
    • Gathering feedback from employees to improve processes and team morale.
    The Place Floor Efficiency
    • Ensure floor is efficient as possible.
    • Make updates to machine area lay out to maximize efficiency and minimize employee stress...
    • Work smarter, not harder.
    Maintenance
    • Maintain and ensures all equipment, building and grounds are clean and in good working order
    • Pass facility maintenance improvement ideas onto PM
    • Facility
    • Work with PM and lead technician on capital improvements
    • Suggest layout improvements to PM when needed
    • Be a leader in cleanliness and maintaining cleanliness standards
    • Keep tools organized (5S)
