    Job Description

    The Service Technician performs work at customer site, installing and servicing equipment, and providing customer training and support as needed.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    (Note - Other duties may be assigned)

    • Provide maintenance, warranty, and repair services on all company machine product line.

    • Assure finished product meets customer specifications
    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical cabinet interface
    • Set and verify machine hydraulic pressures
    • Perform major tasks such as injection cylinder assembly replacement, system pump replacement, and hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting
    • Replace electrical and hydraulic components
    • Install molds and tooling

    • Follow LWB safety practices and procedures, if required by the customer.

    • Complete assigned work, including PM inspections and other tasks efficiently.

    • Demonstrate mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge, and stay updated with new machinery service and repair techniques.

    • Use manuals for procedures and parts identification.

    • Read European hydraulic prints and trace wiring within the electrical cabinet.

    • Understand electro-mechanical concepts and use a multi-meter for troubleshooting.

    • Set up processing machines
    • Communicate clearly with customers, associates, and supervisors
    • Maintain accurate service and repair records
    • Provide machine operation instructions and assist with breakdowns
    • Collaborate with sales account managers to identify customer needs

    • Detect problems visually and audibly when repairing machinery.

    • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and maintain a professional demeanor.

    • Be proactive, solve problems, and communicate effectively.

    • Follow instructions and operate equipment.
