    SummaryThe Senior Cost/FP&A Analyst is responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing and service center operations-related finance and cost accounting functions.

    The position requisition is for a proactive and creative problem solver comfortable leading efficiency improvements and strategic activities, as well as being a strong communicator who can provide objective recommendations to Senior Management to continuously drive towards the Majestic's strategic goals.

    Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for reporting, forecasting and analyzing the manufacturing and service center operations-related cost sections of the P&L and balance sheet.

    This includes standard costs, variances to standards, operating direct charges and inventory.
    Prepares relevant journal entries as part of the month-end close process.

    Coordinates cost management functions to ensure accurate, timely product cost and inventory account information for compliance with corporate reporting requirements.

    This includes inventory reserve calculations and balances, where required by US GAAP accounting and Majestic corporate policy.

    Supports manufacturing and service center operations as follows:
    Monitors, reviews and analyzes daily operating activities. Provides variance and root cause analyses for relevant, accurate and timely feedback and performance reporting.
    Assists operations team with development and implementation of efficiency metrics.
    Provides monthly service-center productivity analysis, including operating leverage and efficiency.

    Reviews standards against current cost roll-ups on a regular basis to ensure accurate cost data and provides feedback on product margin analysis.

    Aides in development of BOM and router costing; evaluates accuracy and communicates exceptions.
    Participates in productivity improvement, lean manufacturing and other initiatives as requested.
    Supports inventory optimization initiatives, including driving processes to identify and communicate slow moving inventory, evaluating root cause process drivers.
    Leads and streamlines annual material, labor and burden standard cost reviews and updates.
    Assists in regular price book and quote reviews through strategic product margin analysis.
    Supports periodic physical inventory count process, ensuring integrity of the count process and results.


    Supports the FP&A cycle:
    Works with the VP
    • Finance to understand and use existing forecasting and reporting tools, with objective to optimize and improve.
    Supports semi-annual Budget cycle, as well as monthly and quarterly reporting.

    Assists with ad hoc reporting, while building and maintaining robust tools that assist with the dissemination of Financial and Operational metrics and analytics.

    Other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.

    Education, Training and Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field4 years of finance & accounting experience4 years of manufacturing experience with a focus toward operational excellenceStrong grasp of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and general accounting conceptsExperience working in complex ERP systemsExtremely strong Excel skills, especially advanced financial modeling and analytical techniquesStrong knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)Knowledge, Skills and Abilities RequirementsExcellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detailDemonstrated ability to streamline and automate both simple and complex processesAbility to clearly convey financial information to all levels of the organization, both financial and non-financial audiencesCreative, innovative, and strategic thinker with proven problem resolution skills and process improvement techniquesHighly motivated self-starter, able to prioritize projects, accept responsibility and follow through without close supervisionPreferred Qualifications4 years of cost accounting experienceCPA, CMA and/or Master's degree in accounting or financeExperience working with MS DynamicsSupervisory ResponsibilityNo direct supervisory responsibilitiesAdditionalProven ability to work efficiently and effectively from a Corporate office and a home office settingMust be able to work outside normal business hours/days on occasionMay require limited travel and work at an outside locationAt Majestic, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where diverse voices are welcomed from associates throughout the entire organization.
