Summary:
The Finance Manager is a key management position that plays a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations to ensure the company's fiscal health.
The Finance Manager will lead a team, manage costs, analyze and prepare financial data, and collaborate across departments to drive growth and profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
·
Manage and ensure payroll for company contract workers is completed accurately and timely
·
Will lead, manage and coach a team of 4 Finance Coordinators who are responsible for full cycle payroll to invoicing functions
·
Prepare financial analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, make recommendations
·
Prepare financial forecasts and models to support strategic planning
·
Generate monthly and annual financial reports for the leadership, highlighting key insights
·
Lead, mentor, and manage payroll and other accounting functions, and benefits and compliance
·
Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
·
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
·
Continuously improve financial processes for efficiency and accuracy, assist in developing metrics for company productivity
·
Provide informed recommendations to senior management for business targets and growth
·
Utilize financial software for data management, analyses and preparation of monthly financial statements
·
Oversee workers compensation and 401K audits and insurance applications
·
Work with CPA to prepare company taxes
·
Prepare cost-benefit and other analyses, reports, reconciliations, metrics and pricing models as needed, provide recommendations based on data
·
Oversee/prepare necessary financial, bank, compliance and customer reports and applications
·
Assist with vendor and customer contract negotiations
·
Reports to the VP, Operations & Strategy
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
·
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field plus 3-5+ years of relevant experience
·
Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, planning and change management skills
·
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in problem solving, financial modeling and financial statements
·
Knowledge of financial regulations, compliance and risk management
·
Familiarity with state taxes for employees
·
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
·
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
·
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
·
Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus
