Summary:

Responsible for gift processing and donor relationsincluding: responding to all donor inquiries, recording gifts andpledges and updating donor information into the Raiser's Edge donordatabase software system. Creates and mails gift acknowledgmentletters and honor/memorial cards. Prepares gift reports, maintainsand administers gift processing procedures. Facilitates transfer ofgift income, handles bank account queries, lockbox oversight, andpreparing deposits. Assists in audits and provides support to theFoundation CPA during the monthly reconciliation process. This is asecurity sensitive position.

Meetsexpectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader ofSelf, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
Follows CHRISTUS Guidelines related to Health Insurance Portabilityand accountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detectunauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information(PHI)
Receives and processes donations andpledges made to the Foundation
Credits gifts toappropriate constituent and matches the gift to the appropriatefund, appeal, campaign or softcredit
Establishes records for new donors,funds and appeals as needed
Produces and mailsall gift receipts within 2-business days of gift and providesacknowledgement letters to be signed by appropriate staff andvolunteers
Coordinates with appropriate staffto ensure that letters are up to date, accurate and signed withinthe specified time frame
Sends acknowledgmentsfor all honorarium gifts
Assists DatabaseManager in updating constituent information in the donor databaseand mailing lists
This involves entry of allpertinent gift information for existing constituent records,correcting and updating information
AssistsDatabase Manager and CPA in reconciling the donor database withaccounting database
Responsible for daily batchentry including entering and posting all credit card transactionsand contributions
Assists the Database Managerand CPA in providing appropriate documentation and audit trail ofgifts
Contact for donors and health system onmatters related to gift and pledgeprocessing
Logs gifts, creates/runs depositsand maintains all payment vehicles under direct supervision of theDatabase Manager following auditguidelines
Takes personal responsibility toensure compliance with all policies, procedures and standards aspromulgated by state and federal agencies, the hospital, and otherregulatory entities
Performs all duties in amanner that protects the confidentiality of donors and patients anddoes not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless itis necessary in the performance of assigned jobduties
Performs other duties asassigned

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in healthcare or businessfield preferred.
3-5 yearsrequired.
Development/fundraising experienceand relationship, cultivation/management experiencepreferred.
