    Description


    JSM Airport Services, LLC (a subsidiary of JSM & Associates, LLC) is seeking a professional, skilled individual to join our team in Orlando We are looking for a Project Accountant who will not only perform as a business partner and financial guide to the Project Site Manager but will also provide on-site accounting support to the Project personnel and the corporate accounting department.

    The Project Accountant will ensure that the project's direct costs are properly accounted for, that the project's customer invoicing is timely and accurate, and that the spare parts inventory is properly controlled.

    The successful candidate will work closely and collaboratively with employees at all levels of the company, our customer, subcontractors, and equipment vendors.

    The Project Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate financial reporting to the company Chief Financial Officer (CFO), delivering financial reports to internal customers that serve to increase the efficiency and profitability of the project.


    Compensation:
    Salary ranges from $55k-$62k (Dependent on Experience)Paid weekly

    This position is responsible for all aspects of project accounting including, but not limited to, the following:

    Project Accounting:

    Produce accurate and timely invoices (with supporting documentation) for our project's customer - invoicing occurs multiple times each monthReview, approve, and submit subcontractor invoicing Produce monthly financial reporting for the project (P&L, A/R, Cycle Count, etc.)



    Provide accurate and timely reporting of sale and inventory information, analyze project cost data, and ensure integrity and accuracy of the project's month-end accounting close processReview monthly gross profit reports and investigate variances (as necessary)Prepare ad hoc reports and complete special projects (as requested)Assist and engage customer and team members with technical questionsAssist senior management with administrative requests Semi-Annual reconcilement of the site's capital equipment inventoryInventory Accounting:
    Coordinate with the project's operational leadership in tracking and accounting for the spare parts inventory (from procurement through disbursement/allocation to the asset)Review inventory internal controls, making recommendations as needed for process improvementsAssist in the execution of the quarterly physical inventory countAudit and review inventory shrinkage, as neededAnalyze and review inventory variancesReview and generate obsolete/slow moving inventory schedules Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systemAssist, as needed, with warranty tracking and reimbursements Qualifications & Preferred AttributesThree (3) to Five (5) years' experience in accounting, inventory accounting, or cost accounting - PreferredOne (1) to Two (2) years' experience in a construction project environment, equipment maintenance or manufacturing environment - Preferred2- 3 years accounting or 5+ years in bookkeeping - PreferredProficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise (or similar mid-level ERP/Accounting package, i

    • PreferredThis exempt/salaried position is located on site, at the Orlando International Airport in Orlando, FL, with a secondary work location at the company's HQ (Apopka Airport) and does not provide the option to work remotely the typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (may be asked to work additional hours or days, when needed, to support site needs).
    The successful candidate must be able to pass a drug screening, a drivers' license check and validation, federal fingerprinting and security threat assessment, as well as airport security badging.
