The role
Although this is a full-time role, part-time hours will also be considered, (minimum of 0.8 FTE).
We are seeking to recruit an outstanding individual to join us in the role Learning and Development Manager to take forward our strategic priority of implementing the recommendations from the Performance Development Review project (PDR). Reporting to the Wellbeing, Inclusion & Culture (WICC) Business Manager within HR, this is a fixed term appointment until 31st July 2024, with the possibility of an extension of 6 months, contingent on funding.
As Learning Development Programme Manager you will be responsible for the design and delivery of the learning and development aspects of the eight recommendations stemming from the 2024 PDR Review, working alongside the WICC Project Manager and other key stakeholders. The work forms an important part of our strategic commitment to developing the culture we wish to pursue as part of WICC and other strategic priorities such as developing our Research Culture. Practically, this will involve leading on the implementation of several of the PDR review recommendations, to support the embedding of a new approach to PDR across the University for both our Academic and Professional Services Colleagues.
Driven by the University of Exeter's Wellbeing, Inclusion & Culture Committee, this role supports the institutional delivery of our People Strategy and we are looking for an effective and organised programme manager who can drive, coordinate and deliver on this priority to support colleagues from across the University Community.
You
An independent self-starter, with excellent programme and relationship management skills, the role holder will be required to be competent at understanding and navigating complex organisational structures whilst demonstrating laser focus on programme delivery.
