    Company Overview: Our company is a leading heavy civil construction company specializing in the building and reconstruction of transportation and water infrastructure.

    Job Description: The Field Operations Manager provides leadership and oversight of day-to-day operations for all construction project management and administration associated with J Banicki Construction and its multiple projects. This role oversees and maintains client relations and maintenance. The position is responsible for project logistics, manpower/equipment management, financial management, schedule maintenance, quality, safety, and staff development aspects of all the projects assigned to them. This role also assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to achieve established business goals in support of J. Banicki Construction Inc.'s mission statements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for all aspects (i.e., financial, schedule, safety, quality, manpower, staff development, etc.) of the projects assigned.
    • Assist in business development efforts for future projects and targeted market segments in Arizona.
    • Work directly with project managers and superintendents to ensure project success.
    • Engage and maintain relationships with clients from preconstruction through project completion and on future work.
    • Visit each job site and attend team meetings as required to have a working knowledge of the current project status and issues.
    • Develop and maintain quality relationships with owners, subcontractors, and A/E firms.
    • Attend weekly owner meetings to support project staff.
    • Promote excellence at all levels and enforce compliance with safety policies.
    • Assist with resolving all project conflicts.
    • Assist other departments with proposal and preconstruction efforts.
    • Responsible for maintaining manpower schedule and assignments of craft and equipment on projects.
    • Review and negotiate change orders.
    • Manage, mentor, and develop project staff.
    • Participate in project brainstorming and planning meetings.
    • Assist in recruiting and hiring efforts.

    Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
    • Minimum fifteen (15) years combined progressive experience in a Project Engineer and Project Manager level role with business development responsibilities.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to handle numerous challenges, solve complex problems, and motivate others.
    • Proficient in construction trade software including HCSS, Primavera, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent management, leadership, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
    • Proactively seeks opportunities to improve and develop construction knowledge and technical skills.
    • Ability to read and review plan and construction documents.
    • Strong work ethic, business values, and ethics.
    • Must be proactive, flexible, responsible, resourceful, and work well under pressure.
