The intern will be provided a multi-faceted opportunity to experience the full spectrum of nonprofit accounting and support the Director of Finance.
The intern will be responsible for a variety of finance and budgeting functions including but not limited to:
Preparing, processing, analyzing, interpreting, reconciling, maintaining, and verifying the correctness of a variety of finance and budgeting data, records, and reports activities.
Track and assist with monthly grant invoices and receivables.
Day to day bookkeeping and bill paying.
Support for grant reporting.
Maintain confidentiality of all financial records and apply discretion and appropriate security
measures in the handling of all confidential information.
Adhere to agency standards of ethical conduct and maintain professional boundaries with staff and clients.
Comply with regulatory, statutory, contractual, grant and agency standards for timeliness,
completeness and accuracy when preparing and maintaining paperwork and required reports.
