- This role is contingent upon being awarded the contract.
- Performs corrective and preventative maintenance with the electrical operation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and assessment of US Naval Auxiliary equipment to include, but not limited to:
- Electrical Controllers, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), A/C Electrical Controls, Refrigeration System Controls, Air Compressor Controls, MRG dehumidifiers, Sonar Dome DEPI Gages.
- May work directly with customer or customer representatives, attend meetings and deploy for special projects.
- Ability to manage, oversee, schedule and assign tasks to one or more multiple jobs.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
- Provide strong organizational and technical skills and the ability to perform detail-oriented work.
- Be self-motivated, customer oriented, possess strong analytic and communication (oral and written) skills.
- High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 8 years of related experience, to include specific systems expertise. Prefer technical/professional certifications. Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
- Must have recent experience (within two years) maintaining and operating US Navy Auxiliary equipment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Experience with troubleshooting and assessment of AC&R/Compressed Air equipment in the official capacity of a SME for either a US Naval Engineering Activity, OEM, or industrial/commercial equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Navy assessment programs, ship visit procedures, and post-visit reporting methods.
- Experience troubleshooting, assessing, and inspecting shipboard systems and equipment. Demonstrate proper techniques for identifying causes of equipment casualties.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics, and piping drawings.
- Computer/laptop hardware and software proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), necessary for compiling information and developing reports as required by the respective C250 Branch Head.
- Possess the ability to review, update, and close assigned jobs in the prescribed government database.
- A current/valid DoD security clearance.

The selected AC&R Electrical Technician will perform corrective and preventative maintenance mechanical operation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and assessment of US Navy Auxiliary equipment.
Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs.
Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards,under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels.
May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator. Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.Why HII
