- Own the preparation of journal entries for key balance sheet and income statement accounts during the quarter-end close process, primarily related to SG&A, including compensation and consulting accruals
- Partner with shared service groups to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions related to ad sales, fixed assets, internally developed software, foreign entities, and tax
- Prepare and review work paper reconciliations for key balance sheet and expense accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis and perform fluctuation analyses
- Work directly with the Manager, Financial Accounting on ad hoc company initiatives
- Respond to inquiries regarding accounting related activities, and utilize judgment to address or call out issues as necessary
- Review contracts and other transactions for appropriate accounting treatment
- Support annual internal and external audits as necessary, through the preparation of audit schedules, financial statements and footnotes
- Play a key role in general process improvements and process documentation for all facets of the accounting cycle
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field
- Previous experience within the entertainment sector
- 4+ years experience with recording of transactions related to ad sales, fixed assets, foreign entities, and tax
- 4+ years experience with preparation of journal entries for key balance sheet and income statement accounts during the quarter-end close process, primarily related to SG&A including compensation

Job DescriptionA global entertainment company is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join their streaming service's corporate accounting team This is a reporting role and investigating balance sheet discrepancies, etc. The candidate will be dealing with overhead costs and involves some forecasting.
Work Schedule: Remote role, PST hours preferred
3 month contract with potential to extend based on business needs
$ hour DOE (W2 Non-Exempt)
