    Job Description


    A global entertainment company is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join their streaming service's corporate accounting team This is a reporting role and investigating balance sheet discrepancies, etc.

    The candidate will be dealing with overhead costs and involves some forecasting.


    Work Schedule:
    Remote role, PST hours preferred
    3 month contract with potential to extend based on business needs
    $ hour DOE (W2 Non-Exempt)

    Candidates must currently reside in the US and be authorized to work in the US. H1-B Visa sponsorship not currently available


    Description/Comment:
    Own the preparation of journal entries for key balance sheet and income statement accounts during the quarter-end close process, primarily related to SG&A, including compensation and consulting accruals
    Partner with shared service groups to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions related to ad sales, fixed assets, internally developed software, foreign entities, and tax
    Prepare and review work paper reconciliations for key balance sheet and expense accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis and perform fluctuation analyses
    Work directly with the Manager, Financial Accounting on ad hoc company initiatives
    Respond to inquiries regarding accounting related activities, and utilize judgment to address or call out issues as necessary
    Review contracts and other transactions for appropriate accounting treatment
    Support annual internal and external audits as necessary, through the preparation of audit schedules, financial statements and footnotes
    Play a key role in general process improvements and process documentation for all facets of the accounting cycle

    Preferred Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field
    Previous experience within the entertainment sector
    4+ years experience with recording of transactions related to ad sales, fixed assets, foreign entities, and tax
    4+ years experience with preparation of journal entries for key balance sheet and income statement accounts during the quarter-end close process, primarily related to SG&A including compensation
