- Coordinate the provision of extensive, in-depth, expert, legal and non-legal, bibliographic research for the Law Faculty. Consult with faculty members to determine their needs. Delegate research assignments to other members of the Library's research services team as appropriate. Advise on, and possibly implement and oversee, a new Law Library liaison program.
- Teach multiple sections of the ABA required legal research course to law students (Legal Research Methodologies). Participate in the preparation and delivery of one or more advanced legal research courses.
- Supervise the Research and Instruction Librarian in the acquisition, set-up, and ongoing access to electronic resources to maximize their benefit to faculty scholarship and student success. Manage and oversee the coordination of the legal research vendors, help resolve access issues, promote access, and assist the Director and Associate Dean in the negotiation and licensing of online resources.
- Supervise the day-to-day work and the professional development of the Research and Instruction Librarian. Manage the interlibrary Loan program, the document delivery program, and research assistants providing Bluebook and proofreading services to faculty members.
- Participate in collection development and advise on budgeting issues.
- Coordinate research requests from the Appointments Committee, the creation and organization of Libguides, and other duties as assigned.
- J.D. from an ABA accredited school and either (1) MLS or equivalent degree from an ALA accredited library school or (2) significant academic law library experience.
- Experience teaching legal research.
- Ability to lead and communicate effectively.
- Strong supervisory and managerial skills.
- Ability to coordinate complex activities and projects.
- A commitment to high-quality service with the ability to work well with team members, co-workers, faculty, and students.
- Good organization skills, detail-oriented with excellent follow-through, use of sound judgment, and the ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), integrated library system, legal databases including Lexis+, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, and others.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director and Associate Dean of the Law Library, this position is responsible for the operation, planning, management, assessment, and delivery of library services to the Law School faculty; managing the provision of electronic resources to the Law School community; managing the Law Library's interlibrary loan and document delivery operations; and assisting with budgeting and collection development.

$64, $110,500.00 / Annually
