    The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee College of Health Professions & Sciences offers a wide array of health-related academic programs in biomedical sciences, global health, health care administration, nursing, the rehabilitation sciences, and sustainable peacebuilding serving 2300+ students.

    UWM School of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Nursing (MN), Master of Sustainable Peacebuilding (MSP), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree programs.

    UW-Milwaukee offers the BS in Nursing at UWM and UW-Parkside through a consortial partnership. Students are placed in clinical sites throughout Southeastern Wisconsin in proximity to each campus location.

    The successful candidate in this position will be responsible for teaching courses in the School of Nursing, scholarship, service and leadership in accordance with the mission of the School of Nursing and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

    Work will be performed primarily on the UW-Milwaukee or UW-Parkside campuses.

    Minimum Qualifications


    • Doctorate in Nursing (DNP, PhD) from an accredited institution by the start of the appointment
    • Unrestricted license as RN in Wisconsin or ability to become licensed as RN in Wisconsin. The license must be valid by the start of the appointment
    Preferred Qualifications


    • Experience/expertise in teaching in one or more of the following areas: Maternal-child; pediatrics; mental health; gerontology; population; community and global health; inter-professional education; informatics, quality, safety and violence prevention; and/or monitoring, evaluation, systems-thinking and organizational change
    • Beginning or established program of scholarship
    • At least two years of experience as an RN in a clinical setting, ideally within the past five years
    • Experience/expertise in clinical practice in one or more of the following areas: Family/adult/gero/acute care and/or advanced practice; community/population/public health
    • Certified Nursing educator (CNE)
    • Experience using online and distance education instructional methods
    • Demonstrated commitment to the profession through related educational/professional organizations including membership, committee work, presentations, etc.
    Target Salary Range Minimum 9-month salary of $70,000 (Final salary offers contingent upon skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to the position.) Benefits and Total Rewards
