Position Summary: Mount Mary University is seeking an individual to join our community and contribute to the realization of our Mission through the role of Assistant Professor in Counseling. We are a community of faculty who value relationships with our students and colleagues. We are committed to a compassionate and effective graduate education for our students. This nine-month position is comprised of 100% teaching load in counseling courses or other courses consistent with practice experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

Teach graduate counseling courses
Advise and supervise masters level students.
Contribute to continuous and systematic program assessment
Maintain compliance and ensure program quality with CACREP accreditation standards
Complete annual data collection and dissemination of CACREP competency benchmarks
Perform other duties, responsibilities, or special projects as assigned
To carry out the duties and responsibilities of a faculty member as delineated in the Faculty Handbook.

Skills and Experience:

Doctoral degree from a CACREP accredited program in Counselor Education and Supervision.
Teaching and supervision experience required
Holds or is eligible for the Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC or LPC-IT) or School Counseling credential
Evidence of appropriate licenses and/or certification
Ability to teach two or more of the eight CACREP core areas preferred
Experience in school counseling preferred
Demonstration of professional involvement
Evidence of scholarly publications and related scholarly work preferred
Strong working knowledge and understanding of established professional code of ethics and best practices
Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills including the ability to work with diverse groups
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of professional and community groups
