- Provides technical training to newly hired mechanic trainees,
- Continues with periodic trainings through the Master Mechanic certification process,
- Conducts training sessions in accordance with established standards to ensure that effective trainings are provided in a consistent and efficient manner,
- Provides technical training for customers' mechanics both at TDW and on-site at customer location,
- Travels to customer locations and serves as a resource for further questions once training has concluded,
- Works in a team with other trainers to develop and deliver a training program for Mechanics,
- Provides training classes with an introduction to HT&P operations for TDW salesmen and engineers,
- Ensures training classes comply with all Health, Safety and Environment requirements, and presents a positive HSE attitude to customers and students;
- Conducts performance evaluations in compliance with MAP program competencies,
- Builds and maintains a mentoring relationship with trainees for the purpose of reinforcing training,
- Provides assistance with technical problems encountered on HT&P jobs, a source of support for a new or developing mechanic,
- Conducts periodic audit of mechanic's work and identifies areas for improvement, reviews technical field reports for completeness, and determines training needs and ensures training is completed in a timely manner;
- Goes on job-site to review/witness mechanic performance or assist with actual performance of job, may be required to perform as mechanic when work schedule requires additional technician expertise,
- Reviews training records and work history for HT&P mechanics and ensures all records are current and that each training is properly recorded,
- Prepares follow-up reports for all training classes and reviews evaluations for ways to improve classes,
- Submits expense reports, training reports, audit reports and job records in a timely manner,
- Assists in designing training sessions that meet industry and TDW requirements and re-evaluates these sessions on an on-going basis to discover areas for improvement (including reading HT&P data to build presentations and tests);
- To begin working on gaining the competencies of TAP program,
- Lead/perform HT&P jobs, working in the field as needed,
- Perform maintenance and repair work in the shop as needed;
- Assists in new product and service testing to determine the viability of that product or service.
- High school graduate or equivalent,
- Strong technical and interpersonal skills,
- A minimum of 2 years of Mechanic experience maintaining TDW HT&P equipment,
- Two years of field experience with TDW HT&P equipment preferred,
- Fluent in English is required,
- Travel from 10% to 40%.
