    Summary:

    This team member coordinates all firm events and serves as the main contact for external marketing efforts and sponsorships. The firm has a team of twenty-two lawyers and is of modest size engaging in various public events outside the scope of this description.

    Duties:

    • Responsibilities in marketing involve monthly reporting and database management of new case retention and coordination with the source of case contacts. This reporting aids in case intake analysis and provides guidance for marketing/advertising expenditure. It includes analyzing monthly intake calls, the number of inquiries conducted, cases accepted and rejected, and those pending determination.
    • Managing both internal and external events, such as professional development meetings, staff training, litigation focus groups, social events, holiday parties, charitable events, and political fundraising events. Tasks involve site selection, invitation and attendance management, food and beverage ordering, and budget planning.
    • Coordinating publicity efforts encompassing website and advertisement photo shoots, online and print media advertising, and producing media copy for third-party events the firm supports and/or sponsors. Collaboration with legal publications for printed and/or digital announcements, advertisements, and/or reprints (including The Recorder, Daily Journal, Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers, Lawdragon, Irish Legal 100).
    • Collaborating in overseeing the publication of the firm's biannual newsletter "Focus on Torts," a glossy marketing brochure 1-2 times a year. Tasks include article editing, coordinating with production contractors, managing production, bulk mailers, and liaison with online marketing vendors for the digital version. Keeping and updating a mailing list of approximately 25,000.
    • Maintaining promotional materials for distribution at sponsored events.
    • Acting as the firm's liaison to the website coordinator.
    • Coordinating coverage and content of weekly Huddles.
    • Scheduling and managing logistics for firm-conducted Focus Groups.

    This team member reports to and works under the direct supervision of the Managing Partner. This is a non-exempt position.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, media, or event planning.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • 1-2 years of work experience in a legal environment is a must.
    • Keen attention to detail and ability to work well in a team and independently.
    • Proficiency in Google Docs, Microsoft Word and Excel, and Adobe software.
    • Organized – capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Team-Oriented – willing to contribute to projects that propel the company forward, regardless of ownership.
    • Able to collaborate effectively with multiple individuals and handle multiple projects concurrently.
    • Must be capable and willing to lift, push, or pull 25 pounds.
