    Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:

    • Acting as the Communications Officer to coordinate helpdesk support for the Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean, collaborating with Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 teams.
    • Managing incidents and requests according to established standards, ensuring consistent steps are taken to address issues across the support team.
    • Recognizing the need for standardized approaches, like leveraging Knowledge Articles, to bridge any identified gaps.
    • Overseeing the provision of on-site and remote desktop assistance to LAC personnel at various locations.
    • Monitoring service desk tickets to generate metric reports on incidents and service requests regarding operational response activities.
    • Providing operational support for Service Desk Operations to ensure timely responses aligned with SLAs for Response Ticket Resolution.
    • Maintaining uninterrupted communication channels, including desktop/laptop, phones, and network services, to support BHA customers and Emergency Operations Centers.
    • Ensuring continuity of operations for deployable communications staff and other integral components during response activities.
    • Offering coverage in the absence of full-time staff at the LAC office.
    • Collaborating with response operations leadership to adapt deployable communications support to evolving response models.
    • Troubleshooting field communications equipment remotely, establishing connectivity with field counterparts and BHA Washington, and arranging shipments as necessary.

    • Qualifications Basic Qualification:
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
    • Minimum of 2 years supporting help desks for deployed or mobile communication teams.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to assist in critical response missions.
    • Ability to promptly address inquiries and incidents within SLA guidelines.
    • Proficiency in using ServiceNow for incident and service request management.
    • Experience in developing Knowledge Management processes and Knowledge Articles for new procedures.
    • Familiarity with office tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
    • Background in supporting disaster assistance response teams.
    • Knowledge of best practices in service desk operations or ITIL v3/v4 certification.

    Preferred Qualification:
    • Active Secret Security Clearance.
    • ITIL v3 or v4 certification.
    Target Salary Range $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range EEO An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disability/Veteran.
